Due to the preparations for the New Year and the duties involved in Hatsumōde, our office will be extremely busy.
Therefore, there will be significant delays in shipping amulets, talismans, etc. ordered through the online granting office from approximately December 20th to January 10th. Orders will still be accepted during the aforementioned period, but we will process them sequentially as our office duties allow.
Announcement of the new "Miki no Kuni" Goshuin
From November, we will be distributing the "Miki no Kuni" Goshuin. Ōmuta City, where our shrine is located, was formerly known as Miike no Kuni. The origin of the name Miike no Kuni is said to come from a giant tree called Miki (御木) that once stood there. It is said that when the morning sun shone on this tree, it obscured Kishima-yama (Takeo City), and when the evening sun shone, it obscured Mt. Aso.
A single picture is completed when the Goshuin of Kumano Shrine and Mikasa Shrine are combined.
The material used is cypress.
It will be sent as a pre-written (kakoki) Goshuin.
Goshuin are a testament to the divine connection formed with our shrine through your visit. Upon arrival, please first remotely worship our shrine from your home or elsewhere, express your daily gratitude and wishes, and handle it with utmost care.
